Gold Plated

Gold Plated (PVD)

PVD (physical vapor deposition) is a process in which a base metal such as titanium or steel is coated. Real 24K solid gold is applied into surgical steel in a heated chamber under a high vacuum. An electric voltage is applied, and forms a plasma in the chamber and the introduction of various gases produces an ion bombardment. It then atomizes the 24K gold into tiny substances which are deposited into the jewelry. The result is a hardened layer which is biocompatible and can be autoclaved.

Rose Gold Plated

Rose Gold Plated (PVD)

Real rose gold alloys are applied onto surgical steel in a heated chamber under a high vacuum. An electric voltage is applied, and forms a plasma in the chamber and the introduction of various gases produces an ion bombardment. It then atomizes the 24K gold into tiny substances which are deposited into the jewelry.

Solid Gold

Solid Gold

14K is best for body jewelry as it is strong enough to maintain the threads on a piece. Do not clean with alcohol or harsh chemicals.

Brass

Brass

PVD

PVD – Physical Vapor Deposition

PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a process in which a coating is applied into surgical steel in a heated chamber under a high vacuum. Electric voltage applied with form plasma in the chamber and the introduction of various gases produced an ion bombardment that atomizes the material into tiny substances, which are then deposited onto the jewelry. This results in a hardened layer which is biocompatible and can be autoclaved.
